How about following a course at Yale through the medium of Welsh or bilingually?
It would enhance your employment opportunities as the ability to speak and write in Welsh is regarded as a valuable skill in the workplace just like computer and financial skills.
We have a range of full-time courses that can be followed fully through the medium of Welsh:
- BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Travel and Tourism*
- BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Public Services*
- BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Hospitality*
- Cache Level 3 D iploma in Childcare (this is a full-time course)
- Level 2 Deloitte Employability Skills
- Welsh Baccalaureate
*(These involve approximately 4 ½ learning hours per week and can be offered as part of a full-time programme, either alongside A-Levels or as part of a vocational course)
Help Cymraeg
Students have the option to study part of any other College course in Welsh, for example some students choose to take their exams in Welsh, and can have help with their Welsh throughout their time at College with Help Cymraeg!
- Do you need help with vocabulary, for example special terminology, in your College work?
- Would you like to do some of your work in Welsh?

Welsh for Adults Courses
Yale College offers a range of Welsh for Adults courses to help individuals wishing to improve their Welsh language skills both for their own aspriations,or to meet their career needs. These go from basic and entry level Welsh up to higher level courses and we can help you to find the right level of study for you.
