Parents
Our relationship with students includes you, as their parent or guardian and we will regularly communicate with you via newsletters, reports and consultation evenings to keep you informed of your son or daughter‘s progress. This includes feedback about their behaviour, homework and exam assessments and comments from their personal tutor.
As well as receiving a written report, parents will have the opportunity to attend a Parents Evening where they can meet with their son or daughter‘s personal tutor. You are also welcome to contact their personal tutor at any stage.
Our Expectations
Yale has high expectations of all students, including good attendance and punctuality so that they have the chance to achieve their full potential.
Attendance and punctuality form part of the disciplined and reasonable behaviour we expect of all College members. We have a disciplinary process designed to ensure that the College environment is friendly, safe, civilised and focussed on success and we take a zero approach to bullying and harassment.
Helping you to help Your Son or Daughter
Choosing the right course and career pathway can be a daunting prospect, but we aim to help students to make an informed choice.
“Yale really challenged my son to achieve above and beyond his potential. He has enjoyed his academic studies and thrived on the enrichment opportunities including canoeing, rock climbing and learning British Sign Language.” “The excellent support from all his tutors means he now has an offer of a place at University and is expected to gain very good A’ level and Welsh Baccalaureate results. I have nothing but respect and praise for all of the staff for their tremendous care in supporting my son to succeed. He had a wonderful time at College. …Thank you Yale. “ T. Woolrich, Parent
