Yale College Welsh in the Community

Yale College shared fun in the community in Chirk recently encouraging prospective learners Brian Williams, Denis Ellis, Glyn Alexander and Nancy Orme to play Christmas games using the Welsh language.

The learners enjoyed a five week taster course offered by Yale College which gave them a chance to learn Welsh and practice their skills in a new community group.

“The learners have surprised themselves,” smiled Helen Pritchard Jones, Welsh tutor at Yale College, “I have thoroughly enjoyed our taster classes which have resulted in many of them keen to take up the challenge in the New Year to learn Welsh in the community.”

If you would like to join them for a 10 week beginners course in Chirk or Penley in January 2013 for just £22.00 – Classes start in Chirk at the Parish Hall on Holyhead Road Chirk on Wednesday 16th January – 9am -11am 2013. The Penley group will start on Tuesday 15th January 2013 at 1pm-3pm in the Rainbow Centre Community Centre Penley.
