The Right Reverend Monsignor Peter Brignall visits Yale College.
Yale College welcomed the newly appointed Bishop of Wrexham who was given a short tour of facilities including the Memorial Art Gallery’s latest exhibition.
The Right Reverend Monsignor Peter Brignall enjoyed lunch in the College’s own Rendezvous Restaurant accompanied by Jasbir Dhesi, Principal of Yale College together with Chair of Governors Jane Tilston and recently retired Chair of Governors, Carol O’Toole.
“We were delighted to welcome The Bishop of Wrexham on his first visit to Yale College to see our excellent facilities as well as some examples of students’ work,” says Principal Dhesi.”
Monsignor Peter Brignall was announced as the Bishop Elect for the Diocese of Wrexham in June. He was Vicar General of the Diocese, and Cathedral Dean. He succeeds Bishop Edwin Regan on his retirement after 18 years as diocesan Bishop. The Episcopal Ordination of Bishop-elect Monsignor Brignall took place in September at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Wrexham.
Monsignor Brignall, 58, was ordained priest for the Diocese of Menevia by Bishop Langton Fox in 1978, and was Cathedral Dean of St. Mary’s, Wrexham from 1999 and Vicar General of the Diocese since 2003. He was a Trustee of the Diocese and chaired the Board of Diocesan Trustees. He also chaired the Diocesan Liturgical Commission and was the Bishop’s Advisor on Health Care Chaplaincy.
