For Full-Time Courses

We encourage students to apply as early as they can, as many courses are popular and have limited places.

You can apply:

Online by filling out the online application form. You can also apply by post, or in person using our printed application form. Copies of this form are available from the College and local schools.

Once you have made an application, you’ll be invited to attend an informal interview to discuss your course choices. You may then receive an offer of a place which you must confirm as soon as your GCSE, or other results are available. Interviews start from January onwards.

Accepting your place on the course

To accept your place on the course you’ll be asked to confirm your results as soon as they become available.

There is also a £20 administration fee for new students starting on full-time courses. This will be collected prior to the start of your course. You can pay by cash, or by a cheque made payable to ‘Yale College’.

Enrolment Confirmation Days:

If your exam results don’t match up to your expectations and you need to adjust your application, we are holding enrolment confirmation days on the 28th August and 29th August 2012 when staff will be on hand to advise students. Please note that you’ll need to bring your GCSE or other results with you.

Important dates:

17th November 2011 – Advice Evening
15th March 2012 – Advice Evening
23th August 2012 – GCSE Results Day
28th August and 29th August 2012 – Enrolment Confirmation Days
6th September 2012– Start of Term For New Students

Declaring Criminal Convictions

The College has a duty to ensure the safety and well being of studnts, staff and visitors.
It is therefore necessary that all students declare any relevant convictions.

Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from a place on a College course but if you fail to reveal any ‘unspent’ conviction this will end any enrolment agreement with the College.

Probationary Policy

It is the policy of Yale College that students enrolling to study after previously withdrawing or being unsuccessful due to absence, attitude to work or disciplinary issues are placed on a one month probationary period. This may also include students who have received ‘U’ grades for previous examinations or students who have other exceptional circumstances.

For such students agreeing to this probationary period is a condition of enrolling at Yale College.
