This is a full-time 2 year course for students wanting to progress into a sports related career or into Higher Education. This course is designed to reflect both practical and theoretical aspects of sports across a range of disciplines.

The 180 credit Extended Diploma in Travel and Tourism is designed to provide a highly specialist work-related qualification in travel and tourism which will offer the knowledge, understanding and skills sought after in all sectors of the travel and tourism industry. The travel and tourism sector continues to develop at a rapid pace, with the amount of travel undertaken by individuals for both leisure and business purposes continuing to increase. This has led to a huge demand for a more flexibly-skilled workforce. This qualification is equivalent to three GCE A Levels which will allow you also to progress to higher education.

This 60 credit Subsidiary Diploma in Travel and Tourism is broadly equivalent to one GCE A Level and could be studied over 2 years alongside other GCE A Levels. It offers an engaging programme for those who want to study travel and tourism in more detail, offering the key knowledge, understanding and practical skills sought after in key sectors of the travel and tourism industry.

This course is designed to encourage you to develop the personal skills and qualities that you need for work in Travel and Tourism or Sport and Leisure. The wide range of skills that you learn on this course are transferrable to many employment opportunities in different industries. If you achieve a Merit grade or higher on this course, you will have the opportunity to progress onto one of the many Level 2 courses in Yale College.
