This is a one year course for students who wish to develop the personal skills and qualities needed for work ans further learning and to help students achieve their full potential.

The qualifications have been designed to reflect the skills, knowledge and understanding that are required for working in today’s Public Services sector. Today’s workforce has to be able to solve problems, meet deadlines, work in a team, and keep fit, all of which are reflected in the units on offer to the learner.

This one year full-time course is for individuals who want to work in a supervised role with children aged from 0-16 years (and their families) in settings or services whose main purpose is children's care, learning and development. The course will also provide opportunity for the students to achieve an Intermediate level Welsh Baccalaureate Diploma to enhance the overall outcomes for the students.
