Coleg Priory North Wales
Priory Coleg North Wales is a specialist college for students aged 16 to 25 with Asperger’s Syndrome
and associated conditions.
Priory Coleg North Wales was established in 2011 in partnership with Yale College, Wrexham to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of young people aged 16 to 25 with Asperger’s Syndrome and is set within the grounds of Yale College.
Students have ambitions to study, work and live in mainstream communities as self-reliant adults. With the help of key support workers the college supports students to achieve their learning goals, whilst helping them to grow as individuals, gaining confidence in their abilities and understanding the complexities of Asperger’s Syndrome.
This is achieved through tailored levels of support and guidance within mainstream college settings.
Vocational training and education
The philosophy of Priory Coleg North Wales is based upon providing as many learning opportunities within mainstream educational settings as possible to allow choice, equality and diversity. Our young people are therefore able to benefit from successful partnership agreements with local colleges and have access to over 150 academic and vocational courses including A levels and GCSEs.
